A hospital visit can be worrying at the best of times, and, when you’re paying for it, you don’t need the added stress of unknown costs. With Benenden Hospital, you can rest assured that we’ll give you a guaranteed price, based on your precise individual needs, with no hidden costs. The price will include all hospital fees, your consultant's fee and, if necessary, your anaesthetist fee.
For common surgical procedures, we’re able to offer a fixed price over the phone. Call us on 01580 242 521.
Our price guide
Even if you haven't seen a consultant yet, and don’t know what treatment you need, we can give you a comprehensive price guide, so you can get a picture of the kind of costs you can expect. It’ll cover accommodation, nursing, theatre fees, drugs and dressings, the surgeons’ fees and anaesthetists’ fees. It won’t usually include the cost of an initial consultation or diagnostic tests, although we’ll do our best to provide you with an honest estimate.
Your Self Pay Care Package
Once you’ve had your initial consultation and sufficient tests to come to a diagnosis and decide upon a treatment, we’ll create your Self Pay Care Package, which you’ll receive by post. It’ll list exactly what’s included and give you a fixed price for everything.
In a few cases, we might not know what your treatment will be at this early stage. If so, we’ll give you a basic price and list the possible additions.
If you’re self-funding, you have to pay before you can have your treatment. Payment can be made by major credit or debit card, electronic payment directly into our bank account, cash or cheque.
Electronic payment directly into our bank account:
The sort code and account number to pay your balance are on the bottom of the invoice you will have received.
Card payments can be made in person or over the phone on 01580 240 333 ext 7470, quoting your invoice number.
Your cheque should be made payable to Benenden Hospital Trust, and remember to write your hospital account number on the back. Send it to:
The Benenden Hospital Trust
Goddard's Green Road
Please note that to ensure your admission, we must receive our cheque at least seven working days before your appointment.
If your GP considers your condition requires specialist diagnosis and possible treatment, they can refer you to a consultant at Benenden Hospital. Your GP will also need to provide us with a letter of referral.
Either you or your GP can contact us to arrange your first outpatient appointment. Call 01580 242 521 and ask to speak to the Private Patient Coordinator.
