Physiotherapy at Benenden Hospital
Our Physiotherapists are all highly skilled at assessing the underlying cause of joint, muscle and nerve pain. They use a wide variety of techniques ranging from gentle mobilisations and strengthening to therapeutic pain-relieving techniques and firmer soft tissue techniques. These techniques are combined with exercises and education aimed at managing your condition and preventing recurrences.
We also help with the rehabilitation of our inpatients that undergo hip or knee replacements and other minor orthopaedic procedures

To be referred, you will need a letter from your GP requesting physiotherapy treatment, Once you have your referral letter from your GP you will need to contact Member Services on 0800 414 8100*
You may be given an appointment for a telephone consultation, during which a trained physiotherapist will assess your clinical needs. This service is discretionary and so, depending on the result of the assessment, you may be referred for face-to-face treatment. A member of the central bookings team at Benenden Hospital will contact you to book an appointment to come and see the physiotherapist at your convenience.
You may refer yourself directly, with no need for a referral letter or, if you are using a private insurance company, please follow the company's guidelines and contact the Private Patient Co-ordinator at the hospital on 01580 242 521.
