Benenden Hospital is one of the first hospitals in the UK to provide MonaLisa Touch®. A non-surgical, hormone free, minimally invasive treatment for vaginal atrophy.
What is MonaLisa Touch®?
Some menopausal women and those who have undergone some cancer treatments can suffer from a lack of oestrogen, which can cause dryness and thinning of the vaginal tissues known as vaginal atrophy.
It is performed in an Outpatient setting by a Consultant Gynaecologist. A unique probe is used to deliver laser energy to the vaginal wall tissue which stimulates the production of collagen, restoring the proper balance to the mucous membrane.
MonaLisa Touch® is a clinical solution and not a cosmetic procedure.
Who is suitable for MonaLisa Touch®?
- Post-menopausal women who do not wish to take HRT
- Women who tried HRT but did not find relief for vaginal dryness
- Women who have had chemotherapy for cancer, pelvic radiation therapy for cancer and women who have had hormonal treatment following breast cancer
- Women who have tried other treatments with no success
Mona Lisa Touch® is a private self-funded service and is not covered by Benenden Healthcare or available to NHS patients.
Course of three treatments over 18 weeks (including consultation) £1,285.
