I am a Consultant Rheumatologist and have undertaken extensive training in all aspects of rheumatology and general internal medicine. This includes attending the professorial unit at King's College Hospital, London and the Louise Coote lupus unit at St Thomas' Hospital in London.
I received a bursary for my research into measuring disease activity in rheumatoid arthritis and have a keen interest in education, having been sponsored by the London Deanery. I am a GMC recognised trainer.
In addition to the services I provide at Benenden Hospital, I also work with the NHS as a Consultant Rheumatologist at the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, where I am the clinical lead for the Trust's rheumatology service.
Outside of work, my hobbies include cross-country running.
My clinical interests include inflammatory joint diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthropathies and psoriatic arthritis), soft tissue rheumatology, connective tissue diseases, gout, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, pain management and back pain.
