Prior to having treatment, Martin King was suffering from pain, loss of strength and reduction in mobility in his right hand.

“I had an initial consultation appointment with Dr Abdul Khan, a Consultant Rheumatologist and Physician, who listened to my concerns and ordered a comprehensive set of tests to investigate and diagnose the problem. At the follow-up consultation he explained what was going on, prescribed a topical cream and a course of folic acid to reduce the pain.
“The care I received from the clinical team and nursing staff was consistently excellent. They have lots of professional expertise, knowledge and a friendly manner. They take the time and trouble to explain what they are doing in terms a layman can understand whilst treating you with ample respect.
“The preoperative written information was excellent, and the postoperative information comprised of copies of letters to the GP which are useful to have.
“At the moment it is too early to see improvements in my everyday life, but I’m sure that in a few months time I will notice a significant reduction in pain and see increased strength and mobility in my right hand.
"I would recommend Benenden Hospital to others because of the clinical expertise, the efficiency and the reliability.”
