We are currently recruiting for Hospital administration team leader to join us on a 10 month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Hospital administration manger helping drive excellence across our five reception and administration areas within the hospital, who work closely with patients and visitors promoting the highest standards of customer care.
- We are seeking a candidate with a management qualification or similar experience deputising and helping lead a large team.
- Experience within healthcare would be desirable
- You must be results driven and determined with excellent team work and communication skills.

About the role
- Provide leadership, guidance, instruction, and direction to the team.
- Support the team with day-to-day duties including allocating work to meet timescales/requirements, as well as managing complex queries.
- Work closely with the Administration Manager to help deliver short and long-term business achievements, contributing to the hospital’s overall success.
- Promote the highest standards of customer service.
- Undertake people management responsibilities for direct reports including 1:1s, Absence Management, as well as attend required meetings, escalating any issues or concerns to the Administration Manager.
- Demonstrate the ability to take ownership of responsibilities by planning, prioritising and executing takes without the need for constant supervision.
Skills and experience required
- A management qualification or relevant experience
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience of working within healthcare and/or a basic understanding of medical terminology
- Results driven individual
- Demonstrate high levels of determination and initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to co-ordinate and effectively prioritise conflicting priorities
- Experience of working collaboratively with fellow managers
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Excellent IT skills
