We have an opportunity for a staff nurse to join our bank staff team. We are initially looking for extra support in our Outpatients department including pre assessment. However in a Flexi-Bank Staff Nurse position you have the opportunity to work across Wards, Outpatients, the Eye Unit and ACU. As part of your role you will plan and implement high standards of care, following Hospital guidelines and protocols, promoting a patient-focused approach to care This is a Bank contract, so shifts are based around the demand of the hospital and your availability.

About the role
- Provide outstanding nursing interventions and care to all patients
- Accurately enter patient information on IT systems
- Ensure patient care areas are safe, fit for purpose and effectively resourced
- Maintain the safe custody of medications and controlled drugs
- Supervise junior members of the team, including providing clinical supervision or acting as a mentor
Skills and experience required
- First level registered nurse
- Significant post registration experience in relevant speciality
- ILS training or willingness to undertake training
- Basic phlebotomy and ECG monitoring experience
- Excellent organisational planning and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build and support team working in a positive and challenging culture
- Strong patient centred approach
- Sound computer skills e.g. MS Office and Compucare
- Foster a culture of professionalism and a positive working team environment
- Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and ethics in the workplace
- Ability to communicate with people of all ages and from different backgrounds
