Flexi-Bank workers support departments across the hospital in case of sickness or holiday cover and provide additional support while we recruit permanent staff.

Whilst we're unable to guarantee you regular hours, we do have the need to cover our regular staff members across all areas of the hospital during times when we experience increased demands or staff shortages.

Where will I work?

Support Services, as a Catering Assistant, Housekeeper or hospital Porter
Clinical Services, as a Healthcare Support Worker across departments, Physiotherapy Assistant or Radiology Assistant
Administration and Patient Services, as a Receptionist, Patient Appointment Advisor, Health Records Administrator, Theatre Bookings Administrator, Medical Administrator or Scheduling Coordinator

We also have opportunities for a Medical Secretary, Sales Advisor, Sonographer, Radiographer, Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, Staff Nurse, Nursing Associate, Theatre Practitioner or Surgical Care Practitioner.

I've had the pleasure of working at Benenden Hospital for almost four years. I started as a Bank Driver, before moving to the Portering department. Staff Nurse - Wards

£25 per hour

We have an opportunity for a staff nurse to join our bank staff team. We are initially looking for extra support on our two Wards across days and nights. However in a Flexi-Bank Staff Nurse position you have the opportunity to work across Wards, Outpatients, the Eye Unit and ACU. As part of your role you will plan and implement high standards of care, following Hospital guidelines and protocols, promoting a patient-focused approach to care This is a Bank contract, so shifts are based around the demand of the hospital and your availability.

£10.90 per hour

Flexi-Bank Physiotherapist

£30 per hour

As our Flexi Bank Physiotherapist, you will conduct holistic and thorough assessments for our outpatients by creating individualized, clinically reasoned and evidence-based treatment programmes. You will also contribute and facilitate excellent levels of physiotherapy care to our orthopedic inpatients, providing supportive rehabilitation for prompt discharge and successful home recovery.

You will be an active member of the department and will support the department lead in the development implementation of audits, in-service training/peer reviews, guidelines, and service provision.

£12 per hour

We are currently looking to expand our Felxi bank team to support the Housekeeping team, within Support Services. The post holder will implement high standards of housekeeping and customer service for patients, visitors and other hospital procedures.

We are pleased to be recruiting currently into our Flexi-Bank team for a hospital porter as part of Support Services to work in the team when required an when available. A Porter plays a key part in the movement and transportation of patients, movement of records, equipment, stores and general and clinical waste. Their role is essential in maintaining the effective and efficient operation of the Hospital.
