What does Flexi-Bank mean?

Flexi-Bank workers support departments across the hospital in case of sickness or holiday cover and provide additional support while we recruit permanent staff.

Our Flexi-Bank staff are vital in supporting us to maintain high standards of patient safety and care. At our hospital we hire the most appropriately skilled staff to work in both our clinical and non-clinical areas.

Whilst we're unable to guarantee you regular hours, we do have the need to cover our regular staff members across all areas of the hospital during times when we experience increased demands or staff shortages.

  • Clinical Services, as a Healthcare Support Worker across all departments, Physiotherapy Assistant, Radiology Assistant or Pharmacy Assistant
  • Administration and Patient Services, as a Receptionist, Reservations Advisor, Health Records Administrator, Medical Secretary support or Scheduling Coordinator

We also have opportunities for a Medical Secretary, Sales Advisor, Sonographer, Radiographer, Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, Staff Nurse, Nursing Associate, Theatre Practitioner or Surgical Care Practitioner.

Flexi-Bank Reservations Advisor

£13 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Reservations Advisor to join our Reservations Team. This role is key to delivering a high-quality and efficient service, acting as an ambassador for the organisation and ensuring a positive experience for patients.

Working as part of a supportive and collaborative Reservations Team, the post-holder will work flexibly across the function to support the management of patient pathways, providing a seamless contact centre and booking service whilst supporting the wider Patient Administration Service. Responsibilities will include handling patient enquiries, manage appointments, and coordinating bookings and reservations across outpatient clinics, ACU and Theatre services.

The successful candidate will contribute to the achievement of departmental and organisational objectives by working closely with colleagues to deliver an efficient, responsive and customer-focused service. They will be expected to meet departmental key performance indicators (KPIs), quality standards and productivity targets, supporting the continued success of the team.

We are looking for a motivated and flexible Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy Department on a Flexi-Bank basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a busy healthcare environment, supporting the safe and efficient supply of medicines while delivering excellent customer service to patients and colleagues.

As a key member of the team, you will assist with stock management, support pharmacy operations, and provide a welcoming and professional service at the Pharmacy Reception.
