On Saturday 26 February Benenden Hospital held its second in person clinical recruitment event which showcased the many benefits and opportunities that it has to offer. Benenden Hospital is the only hospital in Kent rated ’Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission.
The event provided an insight of working at the hospital, the benefits and roles available which include Nursing, Healthcare Support Worker, Physiotherapist and Flexi-bank.
Claire Harley, Director of Patient Services said: “It was a really positive event, and it was a pleasure to see people in person and hear how interested they were in the hospital. They were not only interested in the roles we have available but also about the hospital’s 114-year history of providing high quality safe care to patients.
“The care that we provide is a true testament to the fantastic team work of our staff, who put our patients at the forefront of everything they do, but it’s also part of the very strong ethos of caring for each other too.”
Ali Turner, Matron spoke about her role within the hospital and that of her team, and the clinical opportunities available which include theatres, Inpatient Facilities, Physiotherapy and Ophthalmology, before Adela Messinger, HR Advisor gave an overview of her role and the recruitment process.
Keeping in line with its hospital social distancing measures, attendees benefited from being given a tour of the hospital which included theatre, imaging, Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU) and outpatients. As well as the tour, attendees also had the chance to have an informal chat with staff from the Ophthalmology, Physiotherapy, Inpatient Nursing teams. Attendees and the Recruitment team.
