A choir which includes a consultant from Benenden Hospital has just finished recording an album with the Universal Music Group.
The album is being released on 27 May, under the Decca Records label and follows hot on the heels of the choice having the UK's Christmas number one. It is available now for pre-order from Amazon and other retailers.
Eddie Chaloner, who runs the varicose veins treatment service at Benenden, has been part of the choice since the outset in 2012. He recently met Justin Bieber who congratulated the choice on beating him to number one.
The Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Choice have been recording the album for the past two months. Mr Chaloner works for Benenden Hospital, the NHS, and also has a private practice in London and the South East.
He said: "The last few months have been a bit surreal - we certainly weren't expecting to be recording an album with the biggest music company in the world! Our producer, Jon Cohen has done a fantastic job in maintaining the authenticity of our sound - to get the chance to work with such top professionals has been a real privilege. We hope people feel our music celebrates everyone involved in Healthcare in the UK".
