About Miss Hawkes

I am a Consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Surgeon. My specialisms are oculoplastic and cataract surgery.

Graduating from Imperial College, London in 2009, I subsequently trained at St Mary's Hospital in surgery. I completed ophthalmology training on the prestigious Oxford rotation and spent time at Moorfield's Eye Hospital in London. I also spent time training at the Harvard Medical School, Boston and undertook a specialist fellowship in oculoplastic, lacrimal and reconstructive surgery.

I have delivered several international and national presentations, and am involved with surgical training and educating future eye surgeons. I'm a fellow and examiner of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

In addition to the services I provide at Benenden Hospital, I held a NHS Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust where I led the Emergency Eye Care service.
