About Mr Blackburn
I am a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery. I graduated with distinction from Imperial College School of Medicine, London, before completing higher surgical training in Plastic Surgery across leading UK hospitals. I went on to undertake fellowships at the Ganga Hospital in India and St Thomas’ Hospital, London, where I refined my skills in microsurgery and aesthetic breast and abdominal surgery.
In my private practice, I focus on cosmetic breast and body contouring surgery, including breast augmentation, reduction, mastopexy and abdominoplasty. I have particular expertise in functional abdominoplasty, designed not only to improve abdominal shape but also to enhance posture, core strength and relieve symptoms such as lower back pain and stress incontinence. I achieve natural results tailored to each patient’s goals while prioritising safety and recovery.
I have extensive experience in microsurgical breast reconstruction and am a founding member of BREAST – Breast Reconstruction Experts using Autologous Soft Tissue. My research includes publications on enhanced recovery, patient-reported outcomes and complication grading in breast reconstruction.
Outside work, I am a devoted husband and father who enjoys cycling and swimming.
