I gained my medical degree from the University of London in 1995, completing my postgraduate training in Rheumatology in the Wessex region.
Education is very important to me and I completed my certificate in Medical Education at Cardiff University in 2016. I am a GMC recognised trainer, teaching and mentoring students on the focussed musculoskeletal ultrasound course at Christchurch Canterbury University in Kent and am the Training Programme Director for NHS Health Education England (Wessex).
In addition to the services I provide at Benenden Hospital, I have worked with the NHS as a Consultant Rheumatologist since 2008, iniitially in East Kent and the Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey, prior to joining the Rheumatology team at the Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust, based at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth.
My clinical interests include inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disease and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
