We are currently seeking a Theatre Administrator to join our Theatre Department who can undertake administrative duties and link with other working areas to ensure the smooth running of the Theatre Department. This role is permanent and part time working 15 hours on a variable working pattern

About the role
- The post holder will follow standard operating policies and procedure of work however they are expected to use their initiative and make decisions regarding prioritising their own workload to deliver the role effectively.
- Provide administrative support to the theatre department manager and clinical leads.
- Routine duties include, maintaining accurate filing systems – on paper and electronically, spread sheets, training records for staff equipment training, taking.
- minutes of meetings, NJR form completion sand submission, supplying non-conformance forms to DS, supporting the department with audit programmes and providing other administrative support as required.
- Responsible for ordering, checking and receipting of all loan instruments and implants including liaising with courier services as required to ensure loan kit is ready for use when required.
Skills and experience required
- Strong IT skills with the ability to learn new systems when required.
- Proven ability to undertake multiple tasks under pressure.
- Methodical in approach and pays attention to detail.
- Effective verbal communication using tact and diplomacy.
- Strong patient-centred approach.
- Relevant experience within a healthcare environment.
- Good planning, organising and prioritisation skills.
- Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive data.
