We’re looking for an experienced Ultra Sonographer who can deliver and promote exemplary patient-focused care and provide our patients with high quality diagnostic examinations and sonographic images.

You’ll act as the clinical expert & resource for sonography for the department and the wider organization, managing your day’s workload.  Taking responsibility for the safe day to day running of the Ultra-Sonography service within the hospital, you'll plan and implement high standards of care for our patients whilst following hospital policy, guidelines, and protocols.

Utilizing your significant experience, you’ll provide high quality sonographic images and reports and ensure that abnormal results are brought promptly to the attention of the appropriate consultant.

You will be required to undertake a range of work procedures using complex or sensitive information which will require the use of initiative and analysis; you’ll act as the patient’s advocate, maintaining their dignity at all times.

You’ll have a methodical and logical approach to problem solving as you will be responsible for actively investigating and responding to any complaints or concerns relating to Sonography ensuring all communication is dealt with using tact, diplomacy, reassurance, and professionalism.

Radiographer- reference 1867/1803

£25,655 to £36,663 pa depending on experience

Full Time, Permanent Contract

We’re looking for a motivated patient-focussed Radiographer to provide high quality diagnostic Radiographic images in all aspects of general radiography including theatre work, General x-ray and Fluoroscopy and, for those hungry to learn and develop, we offer the opportunity to expand your skills in other modalities such as such as CT and MRI.

You’ll implement high standards of radiography care for our patients acting as their advocate, maintaining their dignity at all times and be able to communicate with patients and their carers verbally and in writing demonstrating tact and diplomacy. You’ll ensure patient information data is accurately recorded in the appropriate IT systems.

As our Radiographer you’ll follow standard operating policies and procedures and maintain your professional development.

The post holder will have effective communication skills to assist other staff and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, concerning sometimes complex information such as patient history and clinical procedures. There will be administrative duties to support the department when required and active involvement in audits. You’ll support and mentor junior members of the team including RDA and administration staff with all aspects of their roles and training needs.

  • Perform high quality X-rays
  • Experience in CT or MRI desirable or full training will be given
  • Ensure patient information data is correctly recorded in the appropriate IT systems
  • Maintain and rotate stock levels of equipment and consumables
  • Maintain professional development particularly through the national professional body
  • Contribute to budgetary management by exercising care and economy in the ordering and use of equipment and consumables
  • Supporting activities such as undertaking administrative duties to support the department when required
  • Communicate with patients and their carers verbally and in writing as and when required

Skills and experience

  • BSc Radiography or Equivalent e.g. DCR(R)
  • Member of an appropriate professional body with valid registration e.g. HCPC
  • IT skills
  • Good Communication skills
  • Organised and methodical in approach
  • Ability to progress multiple tasks simultaneously

The department is currently open between 08:00 - 19:00, Monday to Saturday, with the requirement to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays as required, therefore you should be prepared to work flexibly within these times in order to meet the requirements of the department.

Senior Radiographer- reference 1871/1927

£36,671 to £42,000

Permanent full time

We’re looking for a highly motivated patient-focused Senior Radiographer to support the Imaging/Deputy Manager with the provision of senior leadership and operational management. An important part of the role will be to provide advice and support to the wider imaging team.

It is expected that the Senior Radiographer will provide high quality diagnostic Radiographic images to all areas of service during all areas of the patient pathway including theatre work and fluoroscopy and they will provide assistance and cover when required in CT and MRI.

Maintaining the safe custody of medication and controlled drugs is requisite of the role as is participation in the on-call rota. The Senior Radiographer will be a link practitioner and or assume responsibility for an area of practice for example IP&C, Manual Handling or H&S

  • To provide high quality radiographic images in the general area, theatre and Fluoroscopy room.
  • Assist with CT and MRI lists where required
  • To manage the day’s work load and assist other staff when the need arises, including administration staff to ensure smooth running of the department

Cross Sectional Radiographer- reference 1881

Full Time, Permanent Contract

You will support the Imaging Manager/Deputy Manager with the provision of senior leadership and delegated operational management, providing clinical expertise and advice in supporting the effective planning and implementation of high standards of patient-focussed care, following hospital policies, guidelines, and protocols. 

You'll provide sound advice and support for the Imaging Team, including assuming day to day responsibility for the department in the absence of the Manger or Deputy Manager. The successful applicant will provide high quality diagnostic Radiographic CT/MRI images to all areas of service

It is expected that the ideal applicant will have BSc (Hons) Radiography or equivalent and will be HCPC registered. They should have a minimum of 5 years Post Qualification experience and will evidence proven experience in MRI & CT.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team is requisite of the role and they should be competent in all aspects of Radiography and competent in cannulation.

Pharmacy Technician- reference 1915

We have a part time position for a Pharmacy Technician to join our onsite Pharmacy team. The Pharmacy Technician will contribute to a high-quality pharmacy service to our patients, employees, on the ward and at department level. 

As a key member of the pharmacy team, your purpose will be to ensure the safe dispensing and supply of medicines to all our patients and be actively involved in ensuring that medicine management is optimised in the peri-operative period. 

This post provides the opportunity to develop your training/mentoring skills as you will take an active role in training of other healthcare staff on medication management topics, in addition to the supervision of our Pharmacy Assistant, conducting competency assessments were required.

  • NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Qualification
  • Registration with GPhC and evidence of your CPD
  • At least 2 years of post-qualification experience
