We have a fantastic current opportunity for a Healthcare Support Worker to join us on a permanent, part time contract working 29 hours a week. The successful candidate will be assisting the registered nurses with the delivery of patient-centred care for our Inpatients on the ward.
Working with an experienced and friendly team, the role will be varied as you will undertake a wide range of routine procedures and practices under the supervision of senior staff.

Clinical skills such as phlebotomy, catheter care, ECGs, and dressing changes would be desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

About the role
- Undertake delegated clinical tasks within the ward environment.
- Assist patients with all elements of patients’ needs including personal care needs
- Accurately update patient information on IT systems
- Ensure patient care areas are effectively maintained and well stocked.
- Follow standard operating policies and procedures
Skills and experience required
- GCSEs or equivalent experience.
- NVQ Level III in Health & Social Care, Care Certificate, or willingness to undertake.
- Basic Life Support training.
- Clinical skills such as phlebotomy, catheter care, ECGs, and dressing changes (or willingness to train).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, adaptable, and patient-centred approach.
- Good IT skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
