We are currently recruiting for a full time Clinical Pharmacist working in our well established Pharmacy team working in an outstanding private hospital. You will actively support the Pharmacy Manager in delivering a safe, effective, and quality Pharmacy service, whilst demonstrating clinical leadership.

About the role
- Take active steps to ensure an excellent level of pharmaceutical care is provided to all patients being treated at Benenden Hospital.
- Assume role of Responsible Pharmacist and deputise for the Pharmacy Manager when required.
- Lead on antimicrobial stewardship for the Pharmacy team, providing representation on the Infection Control Committee.
- Lead on development and update of Trust PGDs, and the associated training package.
- Lead and develop the clinical pharmacy service provision to a surgical inpatient population, ensuring high-quality medicines management practices are embedded within the provision of safe patient care.
- Development and update of key Pharmacy policies, guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Lead on audit programmes, data collection and associated presentations, as appropriate, as part of the continual quality improvement agenda of the Pharmacy department.
- Supervise the clinical workload of the junior pharmacist and pharmacy technicians
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager with elements of line managerial support to the junior pharmacist.
Skills and experience required
- Degree in Pharmacy
- Registration with GPhC as a Pharmacist
- At least 4 years of post-registration experience
- Evidence of CPD
- Experience of working within a healthcare team
- Previous experience of working in a busy dispensary environment
- Previous hospital experience is desirable but not essential
- Previous experience of supervising and training other staff is essential
- Experience and skills in using computer programs and harnessing technology to enhance the Pharmacy service
- Previous experience of developing and undertaking audits, audit report writing and presentation of results
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues
- Evidence of good customer service skills and awareness
