Hospital supports Benenden Fete

A group of people on a stall at a fete

As part of our annual community engagement calendar, our hospital once again supported the Benenden Fete on Saturday 14 June.

A staple of the village calendar, it brings the Benenden community together to enjoy music, dance and magic shows, local food, drink and craft stalls as well as fun races and the ever-popular Cow Pat Bingo.

The day itself brought glorious sunshine and crowds flocking to the village green. Our Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development, Michelle Anderson, volunteered at the tombola stand with the local community alongside Nourish Community Foodbank, which delivers food directly to local people in need of support.

We were pleased to donate £150 worth of prizes for the tombola stand, which on the day was very popular and drew a huge number of families. We were delighted to raise over £280 for Nourish and it was a wonderful opportunity to engage with our local community and talk to people about the hospital and services.
