Dr Rahel Mahmud
I am a consultant gastroenterologist at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospital, specialising in advanced endoscopic procedures, including ERCP and EUS. I have extensive expertise in managing a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GORD), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), biliary and hepatology disorders, and complex abdominal diseases.
I have completed my medical training and advanced specialisation in gastroenterology, focusing on both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic techniques. I have undertaken a fellowship in advanced endoscopy at Royal Free Hospital, where I refined my skills in complex endoscopic interventions. In addition to my clinical work, I have been actively involved in research and have contributed to publications.
With a strong commitment to patient-centered care, I am dedicated to improving diagnostic accuracy and treatment strategies. Outside of medicine, I enjoy travelling, fitness, and spending time with family.
