About the role
What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive secretarial support to medical consultants and clinical teams
- Ensure accurate and timely production of medical correspondence, reports, and documentation
- Support the delivery of organisational development objectives through effective administration and communication
- Act as a key point of contact for patients, consultants, and internal teams, ensuring a polished and professional service
- Maintain well‑organised systems, diaries, and workflows to support the smooth running of the department
Skills and experience required
- Significant previous experience in a Medical Secretarial role
- Educated to GCSE level or with equivalent experience
- Relevant professional qualifications such as AMSPAR or Medical Secretarial/Secretarial certifications
- Strong customer care and communication skills, with a professional and patient‑focused approach
- Excellent IT skills across Microsoft Office and clinical systems
- Proven ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Highly methodical and organised, with outstanding attention to detail
- A strong team player who is also confident working independently and using initiative
