We’re looking for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in delivering high‑quality management reporting, analysis, and financial insight across the organisation.

About the role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll be at the heart of financial performance — producing accurate management accounts, strengthening balance sheet control, and working closely with departmental managers to drive better decision‑making.
This is a hands‑on, visible role where you’ll combine technical accounting skills with strong communication and business partnering.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Producing timely, accurate monthly management accounts with clear narrative and insight
- Preparing and reviewing accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Delivering meaningful variance analysis with practical recommendations for improvement
- Supporting budget holders to better understand their financial performance
- Ensuring balance sheet integrity and adherence to strong financial controls
- Building trusted relationships with non‑finance stakeholders across the Hospital
- Supporting continuous improvement in reporting and finance processes
- Assisting with ad hoc projects and analysis as required
Skills and experience required
- At least 1 years’ experience in a management accounting role
- Studying towards or holding a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail
- Confident communicator, able to explain financial information to non‑finance managers
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable working to deadlines
