On Saturday 11 September, our Care Quality Commission (CQC) Outstanding rated hospital held an in person clinical recruitment event.
The event was held in our award-winning hospital Atrium. Attendees heard from Claire Harley, Director of Patient Services who spoke about the hospitals’ proud history of caring for people since 1907. Claire described the patients that we help to care for and explained that we’re the only private hospital with a CQC Outstanding rating in Kent. Our patients are at the heart of everything we do and our staff go that extra mile for them. Our staff provide sensitive, caring and individualised personal care to all patients and our nurses offer reassurance, information and support to both patients and families.
Ali Turner, Matron spoke about her role within the hospital and that of her team, and the clinical opportunities available which include theatres, Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU), ophthalmology and outpatients, before Derrick Howard, Resourcing Officer gave an overview of the recruitment process.
Keeping in line with social distancing measures, attendees benefited from being given a tour of the hospital which included theatre, imaging, Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU) and outpatients. As well as the tour, attendees also had the chance to have an informal chat with staff from the imaging unit, theatre and ophthalmology.
Claire Harley, Director of Patient Services said: “I was really pleased to have welcomed so many colleagues to Benenden Hospital. It was a really successful Clinical Recruitment event.
“People were really interested and really engaged. Taking that very precious time to come along on a Saturday morning to really have a look at all the facilities makes such a difference. The look, the feel and getting your foot in the door and experiencing Benenden Hospital is the thing that makes a difference if you’re looking to make a change in your career.”
