About Sophia
I am a Senior Physiotherapist at Benenden Hospital specialising in musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapy, sports medicine and orthopaedic rehabilitation. My experience spans private practice, hospital settings and elite sport including Football, American Football and the Performing Arts.
As well as my full-time role at Benenden Hospital, I am the Lead Physiotherapist at Kent Football Association Emerging Talent Centre for Girls, and I provide ad-hoc physiotherapy cover for West End shows.
I achieved my Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Honours (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Birmingham in 2024, and in 2025 I completed my Master of Science (MSc) in Sport Rehabilitation from Loughborough University. Alongside my MSc I worked as a private outpatient MSK physiotherapist for one year and completed a six-month internship with the National Football League Academy. During this time, I developed strong clinical skills in assessing, treating and rehabilitating a complex MSK caseload.
Earlier in my career I worked as a Therapy Support Worker at the Royal London Hospital from 2020-2021, where I supported patient care across a variety of fields including ITU, AAU, respiratory, and neurological.
