I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist specialising in general ophthalmology, cataract surgery, retinal surgery and medical retinal conditions.
I obtained my medical degree from Cambridge University achieving a BChir in 2001 and a MB in 2002.
My general ophthalmic training was completed in the United Kingdom and I also had fellowship training in medical and surgical retina at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London.
I have published many studies and research papers in peer reviewed publications.
In addition to the services I provide at Benenden Hospital, I also work with the NHS as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.
My clinical interests include small incision cataract surgery, complicated cataract surgery and complications of cataract surgery, vitreoretinal disorders such as macular hole, epiretinal membrane, diabetic retinopathy, vitreous haemorrhage and retinal detachment. I have a special interest in optical coherence tomography and fundus controlled microperimetry.
