About the role
About the Role
As a Tradesperson Apprentice, you will support the delivery of high-quality maintenance services across our sites while learning from experienced tradespeople and developing practical skills in a range of maintenance disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance tasks as required within the Estates & Facilities Department.
- Support the delivery of Estates & Facilities services to high-quality standards and in line with regulatory requirements.
- Learn and apply technical skills to successfully complete maintenance activities.
- Follow all national and local Health & Safety policies, procedures, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and fully co-operate with management on all Health & Safety matters.
- Maintain a professional and positive approach while developing your knowledge and practical abilities.

Skills and experience required
Essential Criteria
- GCSEs (or currently working towards them), including Maths and English, or a willingness to achieve these qualifications.
- An interest in maintenance, construction, engineering, or a related trade.
- A willingness to learn and develop practical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic IT skills
- A positive, reliable, and proactive attitude.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous exposure to maintenance tasks, construction environments, or DIY activities.
- Basic awareness of Health & Safety principles.
