Why did you decide to get breast reduction surgery?
“I decided to have breast reduction surgery due to the significant physical and emotional impact my breast size was having on my daily life. I experienced ongoing shoulder pain from bra straps digging in, as well as persistent back discomfort. It also affected my ability to exercise comfortably and impacted my confidence. I wanted to improve my overall quality of life, both physically and mentally.”

The theatre staff were outstanding and created a very supportive environment. They quickly put me at ease, and the whole experience felt smooth and controlled, I don’t even recall going off to sleep.”
How were you supported during your recovery?
“The care I received throughout my recovery was exceptional. From my first consultation through to my final check-up and discharge, the entire team went above and beyond to support me.
“The nursing staff were consistently kind, professional, and attentive, ensuring I was comfortable at all times. I was pleasantly surprised by how little pain I experienced, and I was supported to get up and move within a few hours, returning home the following day.
“At every stage, including during more personal and intimate aspects of care such as wound checks, I was treated with the utmost respect and sensitivity. My dignity was always upheld, and I was made to feel completely at ease. The care I received was not only clinically excellent, but also genuinely compassionate.”
What improvements has your breast reduction made to your life?
“The surgery has been truly life changing. I no longer experience the shoulder pain I previously had, and my back pain has significantly improved. Although I have underlying degenerative disc issues, the difference has been remarkable.
“I was already running prior to my surgery, but I found it uncomfortable and cumbersome due to the size of my breasts. Since the procedure, that has completely changed. I can now run comfortably and freely, which has made a significant difference to both my physical wellbeing and enjoyment of exercise.
“My confidence has also improved greatly. I can now wear clothes and bras that fit properly, and I feel much more comfortable in my appearance. My mental wellbeing has improved, and I feel happier and more confident in everyday life.”
