About Mr Poon
I graduated from the University of London in 1991 and undertook my specialist training in London, completing my sub-speciality clinical fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at St Thomas' Hospital in London.
In addition to the services I provide at Benenden Hospital, I also work with the NHS at the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust as a Consultant Ophthalmologist. I have been the joint Lead of Vitreoretinal Surgery at the Trust for the last 15 years where I am involved in researching new methods of visualizing structures in the eye to detect disease.
I am a GMC recognised trainer and am also an honorary lecturer at the University of Kent where I supervise Kent Health PhD students.
