We're delighted to announce that Elise and Mel from our Procurement team have both achieved MCIPS (Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) status, a globally recognised standard of excellence for the procurement and supply profession.
After three years of hard work, 23 exams each, and a combination of online and college study, they have both accomplished this 'gold standard' – and one of the most prestigious certifications a procurement professional can achieve. With support from the hospital, including funded training and dedicated weekly study time, they’ve balanced learning alongside their roles brilliantly.
Thanks to their new expertise, we’ll continue to improve contract processes, strengthen supplier relationships, manage stock more effectively, and uphold the highest ethical standards, delivering real benefits for our patients and the wider hospital. A fantastic achievement!
Head of Procurement Gavin Stace commented on their success: "It has been a genuine pleasure to see two people step into the world of procurement with little to no experience and grow into two fully-qualified procurement professionals. They have achieved this through hard work, dedication, and a genuine talent for the profession. They should be rightfully proud of their achievement."
