Accolade denotes highest standards across patient safety, quality management and legislation
Benenden Hospital is delighted to announce that it has been awarded CHKS accreditation and ISO 9001:2015 certification which recognises healthcare organisations meeting the highest standards across patient and staff safety, clinical care, quality management, legal requirements, legislation and industry best practice.
One of the most respected certifications in the sector, the internationally-recognised distinction was awarded to the hospital following a two-day surveillance visit in June 2025, which assessed the hospital’s various departments, from its recently updated advanced diagnostic imaging suites to its clinical records and pharmacy services.
The CHKS accreditation reinforces Benenden Hospital’s reputation as an outstanding healthcare centre with a commitment to patient‑centred care, ongoing innovation, and the continual enhancement of its services.
Hospital Director Claire Harley said:
"Achieving CHKS and ISO 9001:2015 accreditation is a significant milestone for our hospital and a testament to our culture of continuous improvement. These standards recognise not only the quality of care we provide today, but our ongoing commitment to learn, adapt and enhance our services. I am incredibly proud of our teams, whose dedication ensures we continue to strengthen patient safety, quality and experience every day."
