About the role
As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centred care under the guidance of Registered Health Professionals.
- Support patients with personal care, mobility, comfort and wellbeing.
- Monitor and record patient observations and vital signs.
- Assist with clinical duties including ECG recording, phlebotomy, cannulation, catheter care, dressing changes and other delegated clinical procedures following competency assessment.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic systems.
- Ensure clinical areas are clean, safe, organised and fully stocked.
- Act as a patient advocate, maintaining dignity, privacy and respect at all times.
- Support health promotion activities and contribute to a positive patient experience.
Skills and experience required
We are seeking individuals who:
- Have a genuine passion for caring for others.
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, Care Certificate, or equivalent qualification (or are willing to work towards one).
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can remain calm and organised when working under pressure.
- Demonstrate initiative and sound judgement within their scope of practice.
- Are reliable, adaptable and committed to delivering outstanding patient care.
- Have good IT skills and attention to detail.
