We are looking for a friendly, reliable and flexible Flexi-Bank Porter to join our Support Services team. As a Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Hospital, helping to provide a safe, welcoming and positive experience for our patients, visitors and staff.
As part of the wider Support Services team, which includes Porters, Grounds, Maintenance, Catering and Housekeeping, you will support the movement of patients, equipment and supplies throughout the Hospital while maintaining the highest standards of customer care, safety and professionalism.
This is a Bank position, meaning hours are offered according to the operational requirements of the Hospital. As such, work cannot be guaranteed each week, and flexibility is essential.

About the role
- Provide a professional and courteous porter service across the Hospital.
- Work collaboratively with all departments, ensuring patient areas remain available and operational while being sensitive to patients' needs.
- Support the safe movement of patients, equipment and supplies throughout the Hospital.
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients, visitors and colleagues.
- Adhere to all infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
- Comply with COSHH regulations and safe working practices at all times.
- Work flexibly across Hospital departments in line with your skills, training and competencies.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
- Support Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) and neurodiversity, ensuring respectful and inclusive interactions with patients, carers and colleagues.
Skills and experience required

- Has previous relevant experience, ideally within a healthcare environment.
