We’re looking for a highly motivated patient-focused Senior Radiographer to support the Imaging/Deputy Manager with the provision of senior leadership and operational management. An important part of the role will be to provide advice and support to the wider imaging team.
It is expected that the Senior Radiographer will provide high quality diagnostic Radiographic images to all areas of service during all areas of the patient pathway including theatre work and fluoroscopy and they will provide assistance and cover when required in CT and MRI.
Maintaining the safe custody of medication and controlled drugs is requisite of the role as is participation in the on-call rota. The Senior Radiographer will be a link practitioner and or assume responsibility for an area of practice for example IP&C, Manual Handling or H&S
Responsibilities:
To provide high quality radiographic images in the general area, theatre and Fluoroscopy room.
Assist with CT and MRI lists where required
To manage the day’s work load and assist other staff when the need arises, including administration staff to ensure smooth running of the department
Participate in the Hospitals staff performance process
Maintain own CPD
Promotes reflective practice and encourages others
Participate in Audit
Maintain the safety of all equipment and the working environment
