Why would I have orthopaedic surgery?

If you’re suffering with pain in your joints, it can affect your quality of life and stop you from doing the things you love. From osteoarthritis to injury caused by overuse, if your ability to move around is restricted, you might want to consider orthopaedic surgery.

What should I expect after orthopaedic surgery?

Your recovery time will depend on your age, general health and the type of treatment you’re having. You may need to rest or even have some time off work and you may not be able to drive.  As with any procedure it’s important to make arrangements for someone to pick you up from the hospital after your operation and stay with you for the first night of recovery.

Depending on your mobility, you may need to make some changes around your home to allow you to move around freely. You may also need to make some changes to your diet to help boost your immune system. Our experienced Consultants will be able to talk you through what to expect after your treatment.
