Breast care, benign breast problems and breast cancer
Mr Ash Subramanian works as an Oncoplastic breast surgeon at Eastbourne DGH and the Conquest Hospital in Hastings. His interests are in the management of all aspects of breast disease, particularly in the restoration of shape and form following breast surgery, breast surgery reconstruction following cancer operations and in cosmetic breast surgery. He also has an interest in dermatological surgery. Outside his surgical practice, he has an interest in training and education, and effective communication skills within surgery. He trained at Guys and St Thomas Hospitals and has worked with breast and plastic surgeons over the past 14 years in Surrey, London and Hampshire. He has published extensively and presented his work both nationally and internationally. He is currently a Royal College of Surgeons Tutor for Surgery for East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.
Although most of his leisure time is directed at his two young children, he has various interests outside of medicine. Mr Subramanian is a keen musician, having been a jazz and blues vocalist with several bands as well as an internationally known close harmony choir. He is also a keen sportsman having played hockey and badminton at county level.
