We’re looking for a motivated patient-focussed Radiographer to provide high quality diagnostic Radiographic images in all aspects of general radiography including theatre work, General x-ray and Fluoroscopy and, for those hungry to learn and develop, we offer the opportunity to expand your skills in other modalities such as such as CT and MRI.

You’ll implement high standards of radiography care for our patients acting as their advocate, maintaining their dignity at all times and be able to communicate with patients and their carers verbally and in writing demonstrating tact and diplomacy. You’ll ensure patient information data is accurately recorded in the appropriate IT systems.
As our Radiographer you’ll follow standard operating policies and procedures and maintain your professional development.
The post holder will have effective communication skills to assist other staff and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, concerning sometimes complex information such as patient history and clinical procedures. There will be administrative duties to support the department when required and active involvement in audits. You’ll support and mentor junior members of the team including RDA and administration staff with all aspects of their roles and training needs.
- Perform high quality X-rays
- Experience in CT or MRI desirable or full training will be given
- Ensure patient information data is correctly recorded in the appropriate IT systems
- Maintain and rotate stock levels of equipment and consumables
- Maintain professional development particularly through the national professional body
- Contribute to budgetary management by exercising care and economy in the ordering and use of equipment and consumables
- Supporting activities such as undertaking administrative duties to support the department when required
- Communicate with patients and their carers verbally and in writing as and when required
Skills and Experience
- BSc Radiography or Equivalent e.g. DCR(R)
- Member of an appropriate professional body with valid registration e.g. HCPC
- IT skills
- Good Communication skills
- Organised and methodical in approach
- Ability to progress multiple tasks simultaneously
The department is currently open between 08:00 - 19:00, Monday to Saturday, with the requirement to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays as required, therefore you should be prepared to work flexibly within these times in order to meet the requirements of the department.
