Full time Receptionist – 37.5 hrs per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team working on Benenden Hospital’s Main Reception. Reporting to the Senior Receptionist, the key responsibilities of the role are as below, although this list is not exhaustive:
•To assist patients, carers and other visitors at the hospital by covering switchboard queries, meeting and greeting on arrival, dealing with enquiries and giving directions when required
•To check-in patients on the hospital’s Patient Administration System on arrival at the hospital and direct/assist them to the appropriate area
•To undertake a variation of delegated administrative tasks
•To ensure the reception area is consistently staffed, effectively maintained and well stocked
•To work flexibly within the department, according to competency and skills
Our Main Reception is a very busy area and is the first experience our customers have of the Hospital. We are therefore looking for someone who can plan and prioritise their work whilst also providing a first class customer service.
The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate their effective verbal and written skills and will be able to evidence their ability to work within a team. Experience in a busy Reception is desirable, however full training will be given for candidates who can evidence the skills required.
The Hospital’s Main Reception is manned seven days a week and therefore hours of work will be allocated on a rota basis between 6.30am and 9pm Monday to Sunday. It is essential that the successful candidate can demonstrate flexibility as they may be required to work shifts at short notice.
