We are looking for a Porter to join our Outstanding team, at the award winning, Benenden Hospital, set in the heart of the Kent Countryside.

As a Porter, you will be responsible for implementing high standards of care and customer service for patients, visitors and staff. If you have high standards and a flexible approach to your work this could the ideal role for you.
You will undertake a range of routine tasks, such as the movement of patients to and from the ward and Theatre, removal of general, confidential and clinical waste, the distribution of stores, post and notes. We are also required to transport many items on and off site using our electric vehicles, the team order and change medical gases and provide general moving and handling. Scanning and handling of medical equipment must be completed with care.
To be considered for this role, you should ideally have the following experience and skills;
- A full UK Driving Licence is essential
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent experience
- Experience of working in a portering or similar environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and delivery personnel, with strong customer service skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Competent in using MS Outlook calendars and emails
Healthcare experience is an advantage, but is not essential.
