We have a part time position for a Pharmacy Technician to join our onsite Pharmacy team. The Pharmacy Technician will contribute to a high-quality pharmacy service to our patients, employees, on the ward and at department level. 

As a key member of the pharmacy team, your purpose will be to ensure the safe dispensing and supply of medicines to all our patients and be actively involved in ensuring that medicine management is optimised in the peri-operative period. 

This post provides the opportunity to develop your training/mentoring skills as you will take an active role in training of other healthcare staff on medication management topics, in addition to the supervision of our Pharmacy Assistant, conducting competency assessments were required.

To apply for this position, you should have the following skills and experience;

• NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Qualification
• Registration with GPhC and evidence of your CPD
• At least 2 years of post-qualification experience
• Experience of working within a healthcare team
• Experience of working in a busy dispensary environment
• Experience of audit and data collection
• Evidence of good customer service skills
• Good interpersonal skill and ability to develop strong working relationships with colleague

Desirable:

• Previous hospital experience preferred but not essential
• Experience of supervising other staff
