Free Women's Health Open Event

A first-ever Women’s Health Open Day event is to be held at Benenden Hospital on Saturday July 14 from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

The free event will include advice on gynaecology, urology, menopause, continence care, weight loss surgery, varicose veins and the hospital’s new private GP service.

Experts will talk about a range of bariatric treatments including gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy and the new Elipse™ balloon, the gastric balloon you can swallow.

Consultant Gynaecologist Mr Rowan Connell and his team are offering mini consultations on the Mona Lisa Touch – an innovative laser treatment for vaginal disorders such as dryness, itching and painful thinning of vaginal tissue, known as vaginal atrophy.

Nursing specialists will talk about continence care and the menopause while Consultant Vascular Surgeon Mr Aaron Sweeney will talk about non-invasive laser treatments to quickly remove varicose veins and minimise pain and recovery time.

Visitors can find out about Benenden Hospital’s new private GP Service including a Saturday contraception clinic and cervical tests. There will also be free health and eye checks, food available in the new Pavilion restaurant, and free parking.

Rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) last year, Benenden Hospital is recognised for providing excellent service with great clinical outcomes for its patients.

The hospital offers a wide range of healthcare consultations, treatments and diagnostic services to Benenden members, self-pay patients and those with private health insurance. Some services may also be available to NHS patients via the NHS e-referral system.
