Lizzie Massey from the Gravesend, Dartford and Medway Messenger was the winner of the Kent Print Journalist of the Year title in the 2016 Kent Press and Broadcast Awards.
Benenden Hospital sponsored the print category in the awards, which are organised by Maxim PR. The awards are now in their second year, with this year’s event hosted by television presenter and journalist Cathy Newman and attended by around 130 members of the Kent media.
Highly commended was Jodie Nesling, of the Isle of Thanet Gazzette.
There were 14 categories in the awards. Other sponsors included Eurotunnel, P&O Ferries, Saga and Southeastern.
