About Mr Paolo Consigliere
I am a fellowship trained Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special focus on disorders of the shoulder and elbow. I am well-versed in advanced keyhole techniques and open joint replacement surgery, as well as trauma. I am also deeply committed to providing comprehensive care to patients suffering from various shoulder and elbow conditions, including sport injuries, rotator cuff tears, shoulder impingement syndrome, frozen shoulder, calcific tendinitis, shoulder and elbow instability and dislocation, degenerative and inflammatory arthritis, tennis and golfer's elbow, as well as upper limb fractures.
I completed my medical degree at the University of Pavia, Italy in 2009 and trained in trauma and orthopaedics in Milan, Italy. I moved to the UK in 2013 and soon after relocating, I completed two upper limb fellowships: one at the prestigious Rowley Brisow Unit, Ashford ann St Peter's Hospitals NHS FT, Chetzey UK and one at the Reading Shoulder Unit, Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS FT, Reading UK, international centre of excellence. I then expanded my knowledge and increased my surgical experience completing a limb reconstruction fellowship at St George's University Hospital NHS FT, one of the four major trauma centres in London. I was appointed as a Consultant in 2019 and now work at the East Kent Hospitals University NHS FT, Kent UK.
