Introduction
In the last 10 years there was a revisit to the anatomy of pelvic floor supports with new understanding of the dynamics of pelvic floor anatomy. This has resulted in the development of many new techniques particularly pelvic floor repair, for example the use of mesh is now going to be an inevitable component of gynaecological surgery.
The popularity of vaginal hysterectomy is still on the increase and new technological techniques for securing pedicles is going to make it the choice for excision of the uterus for most benign and some malignant pathology.
|
