About us
Benenden Hospital is an independent hospital near Cranbrook, Kent. We can offer you a Return to Practice placement for adult nursing in general surgery, day surgery, medical assessment unit, outpatient clinic and Theatres.
About the course
The course is validated by Canterbury Christ Church University and consists of twelve weekly theory days which take place within school hours on site at Benenden. You will also be expected to undertake a minimum of 75 practice hours under supervision of a mentor in a placement validated by the University.
Who is eligible?

Both first and second level (registered and enrolled) nurses holding a UKCC qualification in adult nursing who wish to return to nursing after a break. If your PIN number has expired you can reregister with the NMC on successful completion of the course. You must have an NMC PIN number prior to commencement.

Students for whom English is not their first language will be expected to have evidence of English at Level 6 or higher of the IELTS (International English Language Testing System).
