Urinary Incontinence

In Britain 1 in 3 women and 1 in 9 men, at some time in their lives suffer
from urinary incontinence.
Incontinence can affect anyone, at any age.
At Benenden Hospital we can help, by tailoring a self-help programme to
your individual needs which may include the following:

  • Full continence assessment
  • Assessment of pelvic floor muscle power
  • Pelvic floor exercises
  • Electrotherapy
  • Urinary biofeedback
  • Bladder training
  • Instructions in self-catheterisation
  • Dietary advice
  • Psychological counselling
  • Surgery
  • Residential course for physiotherapy to pelvic floor
  • Continence care course

You need not suffer in silence.


Exclusions:   Benenden Healthcare Society members can access this service if they are under
the care of one of Benenden Hospital’s Consultants.
