Patient Journey: Central Booking Service (CBS)

 This service offers an efficient system for the planning and booking of all patient appointments.
All patients are asked to report to CBS on arrival and they will return to rearrange any
on-going appointments.
The service allows patients to book their appointments face-to-face with a member of
the team.
The CBS team will arrange:

new appointments

follow-up appointments
-
in-patient admissions
-
day case admissions
-
pre-assessment appointments
-
hotel accommodation
-
theatre bookings
-
multiple bookings for tests and treatments
-
confirmation letters
-
appointment changes
The CBS team liaise closely with the Consultants, senior managers and heads of department to highlight areas of concern.
The department is located directly behind the Hospital's Main Reception and is central to most of the clinical areas.
