Consultant outline:
I joined Benenden Hospital as a Consultant in 1993 and during that time introduced the hospital to endoscopic (keyhole) surgery in gynaecology, pelvic floor surgery and also developed an infertility service.
In 1995 the hospital became a national and international training centre for endoscopic and pelvic floor surgery, supported by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, maintaining this status to the current date. I have been running the courses for the Royal College at the Hospital on a regular basis, attended by senior registrars and consultants from the UK and also overseas.
I have been an invited speaker at several international meetings and conferences and have also run courses in different parts of the county and overseas such as Italy, Poland, India and Egypt.
