Consultant outline: I trained as a senior registrar in Leeds General Infirmary. I was appointed at Benenden Hospital in March 1995. At Benenden I developed a number of services including Oesophageal manometry and Ph study, links with the nutritionist and Clinical Psychology. I also introduced Breath tests for H Pylori, Lactose intolerance, and Glucose Breath tests.
One of the main features of the gastroenterology service at Benenden is the 'teamwork spirit' and the very high satisfaction rate from patients. My aim is to continue with providing quality and safe gastroenterology service to the society members within the availability of our resources.
