First Aid at Work
The aim of the course is to train employees to become competent first-aiders in the workplace, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
A three day in-depth course leading to a First Aid at Work qualification valid for three years.
This course complies with the current H&S (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Successful students will receive certificates to show that they are qualified to be First Aiders.

Length and Structure of the Course

The course will take place over 3 days. They may be consecutive or spread over a three-week period to enable flexibility according to individual needs.

The hours of attendance on each day will be 09.15 to 16.45 hours, which includes a 45-minute break for lunch and 15 minutes for a coffee/tea break.

First Aid at Work (Requalification)
The aim of the course is to refresh and update employees in their role as first-aiders in the workplace, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
The course is open to First Aiders who have an in-date First Aid at Work Certificate on the first day of the course.
Length and Structure of the Course
The course will take place over 2 days. The hours of attendance on each of the four days will be from 09.15 to 16.45 hours, which includes a 45-minute break for lunch and 15 minutes for a coffee/tea break.

Emergency First Aid for Schools
The aim of the course is to train teaching/auxiliary staff who deal with the supervision of children, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The course is certificated for one year.
Length and Structure of the Course
The course can be flexible and run over one day or two consecutive days and would be run on school premises or at Benenden Hospital between the hours of 09.15 to 16.30, which includes a break for lunch and 15 minutes for a coffee/tea break.

Emergency First Aid at Work
This one day course is the minimum requirement for First Aid in the work place as recommended by the Health & Safety Executive.
On successful completion of the day the candidate will receive a certificate for Emergency First Aid at Work valid for three years. It is recommended that skills should be updated each year.
