If your patient is entitled to transport as an NHS patient, then you can arrange this through your local NHS transport network. Eligibility and the type of transport your patient is entitled to will be decided by your local Primary Care Trust.

The hospital does have specific visiting times, but other arrangements can be made at the discretion of the Senior nurse on the ward. Normal visiting times are 11:00am to 1:30pm and then 3:00pm to 8:00pm.

To help patients have as much rest as possible we restrict the number of visitors to no more than two people at a time and ask that children stay in the day room and not on the ward. We also ask no babies under one year old come into the hospital.

Answer:

There are five disabled parking spaces in close proximity to the main car park.  You should be aware that the roadway slopes down to the main entrance.

There is level access to ground floor wards and clinics, and lift access to other parts of the Hospital building.

Wheelchairs are also available for use. You can contact the Hospital Reception on 01580 240333* to organise this in advance of your attendance. Lines open Mon- Fri 7:30am - 8pm, Sat -Sun 8:30am - 8pm. Out of hours calls accepted.

Answer:

The hospital’s 'The Café' serves hot and cold snacks, beverages between 7.45am and 6.30pm including Saturday and Sunday. It is located on the top floor of the surgical block in the main building.

The Dining Room serves hot and cold snacks, hot meals and beverages between 11.30am and 2.00pm (Monday to Friday only). It is located in the Administration Building.

Vending Machines for hot and cold drinks and snacks are located outside the Jubilee clinic, the Day Surgery Unit waiting area and in the Dining Room.

The shop is situated in main reception sells various items including confectionery (open between 9.00am and 4.00pm).

benenden hospital is a subsidiary of the benenden health and provides high quality elective medical and surgical services for benenden health members. The hospital can also provide treatment for private and self funded patients as well as NHS Choose and Book patients.

We do not provide respite care; inpatient medicine; emergency care; Intensive care (we do however have an High Dependency Unit).
