Governance

   

The Care Quality Commission regulates health and adult social care services in England, whether they're provided by the NHS, local authorities, private companies or voluntary organisations. They also protect the rights of people detained under the Mental Health Act.

The Care Quality Commission makes sure that essential common quality standards are being met where care is provided. This is undertaken by analysing and inspecting services, by asking providers to assess themselves and by collecting information to help the Commission monitor how they are performing.

If there is evidence of a serious and urgent problem that is putting people at risk, they will investigate and take immediate action where necessary.

Benenden Hospital is regulated by and co-operates fully with all the actions that the Care Quality Commission in accordance with the Care Standards Act 2000.
